End of Eros on Top Shelf 2.0

Head on over to the Top Shelf 2.0 website to read the first installment of “End of Eros,” my 32-page mini-comic which chronicles the evolution of humanity after we suddenly get the power to merge together. Full of weird humanoid conglomerations and odd sexual scenarios! The first 7 pages are over there, check it out!

The first few pages have been posted on this blog, including the above image of the interior front cover. You can access them from the EOE archive, and you can also buy the mini-comic of End of Eros at my shop for $3.50.

Points going in different directions

I’m happy Mr. Rob Clough gave my mini-comic, End of Eros, an honorable mention over at The Comic Journal’s 2009 Best-of list. His review of End of Eros was the first review I’d ever had, and I’m thankful he has the patience to take the time to read and write about such a wide variety of comics, even ones that aren’t totally polished.

It’s also nice to see so many White River Junction people (White River Junkies?) get a mention, too! Like… Beauty Patrol by Kubby, Sam ‘N Dan by Jeff Lok, Sugar Cube by Sam Gaskin, Woman King by Colleen Frakes, and of course Monsters by Ken Dahl.

Part 2 of End of Eros is up over at Top Shelf 2.0, and I like their description: “If you thought this story was weird in part one, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet! Parental discretion advised…”

And these illustration/thumbnails come from the second draft of a new comic. I had a fun time creating these images using the lasso tool and a Wacom tablet, which is my current method of drawing that excites me…I enjoy different materials every few months or so…. The final art will be a mixture of digital and collage, and the story is called First Flower.
